Terms of Service
These Terms of Service will be forwarded together with the initial fee quotation sent by email to you the Client and agreed to by you the Client by return email, which henceforth becomes the contract.
All work carried out will be done as quickly as possible and in accordance with the instructions received and according to the pricing package requested or other specified.
Termination of Service
If, in the very unlikely situation that events occur, whether force majeure or personal circumstances etc, which prevent the completion of the task to the required and agreed timescale, this will be communicated to the Client and either a new completion date agreed, or the contract will be terminated. An invoice will be raised for the work carried out by TYPE-IT-NOW up to the point of contract termination and fees to the date of said invoice will be due for payment as per these Terms of Service..
If the Client wishes to terminate the contract and work has already been commenced by TYPE-IT-NOW, an invoice will be raised for the work carried out by TYPE-IT-NOW up to the point of contract termination and fees to the date of said invoice will be due for payment as per these Terms of Service.
Accuracy & Quality Control
Accuracy of 98% or above is promised on good quality audio recordings and clearly legible printed text or handwritten text. By accepting these Terms of Service you agree that the accuracy of the final transcription of audio recordings is dependent on the quality, ie background noise, poor acoustics, over-speaking and any interference.
Obvious quality issues, running throughout the audio recordings or throughout the printed/handwritten text for copy typing will be identified by TYPE-IT-NOW and pointed out to the Client, if the Client hasn't already notified TYPE-IT-NOW, and a Diamond Add-on price of £0.30 pm will be added to the pricing package chosen by the Client.
Any smaller scale quality issues with text for copy typing or audio recordings that are identified by TYPE-IT-NOW mid-way through carrying out the task will be pointed out to the Client, and if there are any words or names that cannot be transcribed, TYPE-IT-NOW will, if possible, make an intelligent guess, or leave a space if unintelligible, which will be highlighted in the final document. For an audio transcription this will be time-stamped in order that the Client may quickly find the place in the audio file where these particular words are.
Errors
TYPE-IT-NOW will complete a proofread of all documents prior to submission back to the Client, it is, however, the responsibility of the Client to carry out their own final proofing of the received document.
Any errors, pointed out within 24 hours of the submission of the completed work, made by TYPE-IT-NOW will be corrected free of charge.
Any errors made by the Client and any additional requirements, adjustments, editing, formatting etc to the original contracted task will be charged at the same pricing package rate as already applied. If an immediate turnaround is required, and is possible, this will be charged on the Platinum Package rate of £2.00 pm.
Additional Charges
Any postage or courier charges incurred for Client requests of returning original documents and/or sending submissions of typing carried out by TYPE-IT-NOW rather than return by electronic means will be recharged to the Client and will be detailed on the final invoice. Copies of postage receipts will be provided. If a printed hard copy of a document is required a cost of £0.10 per page will be charged for black and white printing.
Payment Terms & Recovery
All fees will be invoiced and payment terms are 14 days from the date of the invoice.
Any fees not paid within 14 days of the date of the invoice submitted will be subject to the addition of simple interest accruing daily at a rate of 6% per month above the base rate of the Bank of England current at the date of issue of my invoice until such time as payment is made.
My Solicitor and or a debt recovery company will be instructed to recover such unpaid fees if necessary and the cost of this recovery will be added to the Client's outstanding fees.
Privacy
All Client information is strictly confidential and no details or information will be released to a third party. All documents, audio files, transcriptions etc and any Client data held will be deleted within 30 days of all outstanding fees being successfully paid. GDPR regulations are followed at all times.
